Concrete done with the prep it needs

Concrete is only as good as what goes under it. Louisiana soil moves. The clay swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries out, and if the base is not prepped right, the slab cracks and settles within a few years. Most bad concrete around here is a prep problem, not a pour problem.

Royal Builders pours driveways, patios, sidewalks, slabs, and foundations. We grade and compact the base, set the forms, place the rebar or mesh, and pour at the right thickness for the job. We plan the slope so water runs away from your house and off the surface instead of pooling on it.

Driveways and patios. Poured thick enough to carry the load, with control joints cut in the right places so the concrete cracks along the lines you want instead of randomly across the surface.

Slabs and foundations. For additions and new structures, we build the foundation to match what the structure needs and what the soil can support. Drainage and proper base prep do most of the work of keeping it stable.

Teardown and repour. If existing concrete has heaved, cracked, or sunk past repair, we break it out, fix the base problem that caused it, and pour it back right.

Here is what to expect when you book: we come out and look at the site, check drainage and soil conditions, give you an estimate, prep and form the area, pour and finish, then let it cure before it takes weight. We do not rush the cure to hit a date. Concrete that gets loaded too early is concrete that fails early.
