Roof replacement and repair

Roofs here take a beating. Summer heat cooks the shingles, afternoon storms drive rain sideways, and hurricane season tests every seam and nail. A roof that would last 25 years in a mild climate does not always make it that long in South Louisiana, so how it gets installed matters.

Royal Builders does roof replacement, full re-roofs, and repairs on residential and light commercial buildings. We work in architectural asphalt shingles and standing seam metal, and we can tell you honestly which one fits your house and your budget.

Replacement and re-roofs. We tear off the old roof, inspect the decking for soft spots and rot, replace what is bad, and lay down proper underlayment and flashing before the new roof goes on. The flashing around chimneys, valleys, and wall lines is where most leaks start, so we take our time there.

Repairs. Missing shingles after a storm, a leak around a vent, damaged flashing. We find where the water is actually getting in, which is often not where the stain shows up on the ceiling, and fix the cause.

Metal roofing. Standing seam holds up well against wind and sheds water fast, which counts for a lot during storm season. It costs more up front and lasts longer, and we will walk you through the tradeoff.

We check the whole roof before we quote, so the estimate reflects what your roof actually needs. If we open it up and find rotten decking, you hear about it before we replace it.
